Roberto Clemente was a legendary Puerto Rican baseball player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest outfielders in the history of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on August 18, 1934, in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

He played 18 seasons in the major league baseball for Pittsburgh Pirates, primarily as a right fielder. Out of the 18 seasons he played, he was named in the All-Star team for 13 seasons. He became the first Carribean and latin American player to be honoured in the hall Fame.

Clemente’s career in MLB spanned from 1955 to 1972, and he spent his entire career with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was known for his exceptional skills both as a hitter and as a fielder. Clemente won numerous awards and accolades during his career, including 12 Gold Glove Awards for his outstanding fielding in right field and 15 All-Star selections.

One of his most remarkable achievements came in 1971 when he helped lead the Pittsburgh Pirates to a World Series victory, and he was named the World Series Most Valuable Player (MVP).
