Eddie Cibrian left CSI Miami because CBS wanted to concentrate on a core group of casts. Eddie is best remembered in the CSI Miami series.

Eddie was left out of the series for various reasons, which we will look at further in this article.

After nearly a decade off the air, fans of CSI Miami have begun revisiting the series. The cancellation of CSI: Miami surprised both hardcore fans and the show’s cast. The show’s tenth season was initially cut to 19 episodes, ostensibly to create a place for a new CBS show, NYC 22, which lasted only one season.

Eva LaRue, who portrayed Detective Natalia Boa Vista on CSI: Miami, told Digital Spy at the moment that she was “sorry” the cast “didn’t get a chance to say farewell to the viewers or one other.”

Many fans were disappointed after the completion of the series; Fans believe that CSI: Miami could have told more tales and that there could have been more “character development” throughout the series.

Why Did Eddie Cibrian Leave CSI Miami?

Eddie Cibrian left CSI Miami for various reasons, one of which is that Eddie decided not to continue with the series.

According to Deadline, the decision not to renew star Eddie Cibrian’s contract was made because CBS wanted to “concentrate on a core group of casts” who had been with the show since the beginning.

Eddie’s role, which was introduced to replace Adam Rodriguez’s Eric Delko, was rendered obsolete when Adam returned in Season 9.

Cibrian last appeared on CSI Miami as Jesse Cardoza in the first episode of the show’s ninth season when a serial killer directed the deployment of poison gas across the lab as part of a vendetta towards Horatio’s team.

However, Jesse was the only fatality because he was in the lab researching a case, but instead of passing from the gas, he passed away when his head was hit with glass shards from a camera lens, one of which became lodged in his brain and caused a hemorrhage.

Eddie Cibrian went on to feature in several notable roles after leaving CSI Miami, including the crime drama For Better or Worse, Rosewood, The Playboy Club, and Take-Two. His final TV performance was in 2021 when he played Beau in the Netflix comedy series Country Comfort.

Eddie Cibrian Played The Role Of Jesse Cardoza In The Series CSI Miami

In the eighth season of CSI, Miami viewers met the character Jesse Cardoza played by Eddie Cibrian.

Eddie began CSI Miami as Jesse Cardozo, a CSI Level 2 investigator. His character was liked by the other characters because of his kind and laid-back nature, even if he had to do filthy work to catch a criminal.

Eddie Cibrian’s Jesse Cardoza is one of the most iconic CSI: Miami characters. Cardoza joins the cast of CSI: Miami for the eighth and ninth seasons.

According to the series, Horatio Caine (David Caruso) knew Cardoza in the past since he assisted him in solving a case in Los Angeles, which helped Caine become the main head of CSI Miami.

It is also shown that Cardoza was the one who suggested Tim Speedle (Rory Cochrane) join the team. Cardoza did not join the group until the last several seasons.

Apart from CSI, Eddie has played part in various projects such as The Best Man Holiday, But I’m A Cheerleader, The Young and the Restless, Take Two, and many more.
