Aric Michael Almirola, a professional stock car racer who was born on March 14th, 1984, is of Cuban and American descent. He competes in the NASCAR Cup Series on a regular basis, piloting the No. 10 Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing.
He attended the University of Central Florida to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering before leaving to pursue a career in racing.

Almirola, who is a US citizen, comes from a Cuban family. A dirt sprint car racer, his grandfather was renowned as Sam Rodriguez.=
